Please Don’t Burn Today

Well, today is one of those days we will ask you not to burn outside. The wind is picking up and we fear it becomes difficult to control your burn piles for the duration of today. We are the ones called to battle them and have seen this weather before. While no burn ban is in place, please put off your burning for another, safer day. Thanks

Ok, folks. We know the warmer weather makes those with cabin fever want to get outside and do something “productive”! Burning off those leaves from last Fall might sound like a good idea but we will certainly caution you to be super careful. Especially, as spring-like weather brings in unpredictable winds to advance your fire beyond its burn zone. Arkansas Forestry Division has classes on prescribed burning for landowners to help you plan and prepare for safe burning on your property. Check them out for a class on safe burning if you have some land to clear or need to cleanup the overgrowth. It could save you a lot of effort to burn safely and save you the error of failing to control your fire. Check them out for future classes to see what can help you burn safely on your property.

Stay Safe!

Merry Christmas!

We hope you have a wonderful Christmas holiday with family and friends. Please remember those that are working to protect us and are away from their families working a shift at a fire station, on police patrol, dispatching help, working in healthcare, keeping vital services running, or serving in our military. We are thankful for you and for all that serve the greater good so we can enjoy these very holidays that mean so much with our loved ones. Merry Christmas!,
