The food drive supporting the Fendale Food Pantry at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church starts tomorrow!

WPFD will have boxes at Station 1 (Whispering Pines Road/Col Glenn), Station 2 (25911 Kanis), and Station 3 (Hwy 10/Ferndale Cutoff). Boxes will be out around Noon.

What a fantastic day we had at the Wye Mountain Daffodil Festival. The weather was great and it was awesome to see so many familiar and new faces. From these pics you can tell the kids loved climbing into real fire trucks and maybe even a few imagined what it might be like to volunteer with us as a firefighter when they get old enough. We hope you had a chance to make it out today. The weather may bring more rain by tomorrow. Hopefully you get to see this wonderful festival each year with friends and family. It is worth the trip!

Remembering Eli Staton. Eli was a career firefighter with North Little Rock Fire Department and passed away this morning at the young age of 26. He previously worked for Stuttgart Fire Department. Before that he was a volunteer firefighter with us at WPFD and responded with our Station 1. He got his start with us and proved his service heart was big enough to make a career out of his passion to serve others.

Our prayers go out to his wife, family and fire family in this difficult time.

Highway 10 is currently shut down at Maumelle Harbor and Alotian. Entergy power distribution lines, the large hi-voltage lines, are blocking most of the road and access is completely blocked at this time. Please use Hwy 9 or Highway 113/Hwy300 as a detour if you need to go west on Hwy 10 for the next few hours. Entergy advises it may be open around 12:00.
